Throwflame Unveils Thermonator, the First Flame-Throwing Robot Dog

Ohio-based company Throwflame has launched Thermonator, the first-ever flame-throwing robot dog. The 26-pound robotic quadruped is equipped with an ARC flamethrower that can shoot fire up to 30 feet. It operates on a built-in fuel tank powered by gasoline and has a battery life of one hour. The robot dog can be remotely controlled via WiFi or Bluetooth and comes with laser sighting and lidar mapping. Despite concerns about its potential misuse, Throwflame suggests applications in wildfire control and prevention, entertainment shows, and snow and ice removal. The Thermonator is available for purchase at $9,420.
